Artificial intelligence (AI) has in many cases been praised as one of the highest technological advancements in this modern age, seeing that it ensures convenience, efficiency and speed.
It is the development of computer systems and machines that can perform tasks which usually require human intelligence in the aspects of learning, reasoning, problem-solving, and decision-making
In the past few years, AI has rapidly become a part of everyday lives for many, from virtual assistants in phones to automated systems in banks, hospitals, and industries.
Though it is an attractive achievement, there have also been some negative consequences that follow its development.
The development of this AI is becoming uncontrollable and, as such, raises questions about the future of humanity; its smartness and capabilities are something else.
Are these machines going to replace human roles, reduce the interaction between humans, are they going to be capable of making fair and moral decisions, can these machines still be under the control of humans in the future?
However, as many celebrate these machines as a tool for progress, it is important that we also examine the negative effects thoroughly.
Therefore, in this debate, I am supporting the motion that says Artificial Intelligence AI brings more harm than good with the following points.

Points Supporting The Motion That Artificial Intelligence AI Brings More Harm Than Good

1. It Has Reduced Interaction Between Humans
AI has gone a long way to reduce face-to-face communication. For example, chatbots have replaced human customer service agents; this has weakened social relationships and communication skills.
2. It is A Threat To Human Safety
These independent weapons powered by AI can be very dangerous because if they fall into the wrong hands during operation, they can cause destruction without human control. This poses a very serious threat to global peace and security.
3. Unemployment and Loss of Jobs
Artificial Intelligence is rapidly replacing human workers in many industries like banking, manufacturing, and customer services.
These machines can work faster and cheaper than humans, which has led to massive job losses. This increases unemployment and poverty, especially in developing countries.
4. High Dependence On Technology
Today, a lot of people are becoming too dependent on AI for everyday tasks, and it has reduced creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
This has led many people to become lazy and less productive outside these machines, and this is not funny at all.
5. Danger Of Malfunction And Errors
These AI systems are not perfect, and if they fail at any point or make mistakes, the consequences can be very serious, especially in critical areas like healthcare, transportation, or military operations.
6. Its Implementation is Costly
Developing and maintaining AI systems can be very expensive, and some small businesses and developing countries cannot afford it, creating inequality between rich and poor nations or organisations.
7. Spread Of Misinformation And Social Manipulation
As we all already know, AI can generate fake news, videos, and images that look so real that they can mislead people, influence even elections, and cause panic or conflict in society.
8. Fear Of Losing Control
There is deep fear that one day AI could become too powerful and operate beyond human control. This alone raises serious ethical concerns about the future of humanity and decision-making.

Conclusion
If the issue of this AI is not properly handled, it will lead to consequences that will be very difficult or even impossible to change.
It should serve humanity and not replace it; instead, it is doing otherwise, causing more problems for humans.
With the few points listed above, I strongly believe that you are convinced that AI does more harm than good. Thank you.
