But when students fail, many people quickly blame the students; they say the students are lazy or not serious. In my own view, teachers also play a big role in students’ failure; this is because teachers are the ones who teach and guide the students every day.

In this article, I am going to bring up some points why I think teachers are responsible for students’ failure; the reasons are below.
1. Poor Teaching Method
Some teachers do not teach in a clear way that some students will understand; they may talk too fast or not explain the subject well. When students do not understand, learning becomes very difficult.
If a teacher cannot explain a topic properly, students may become confused; in the end, they may fail because they did not understand what was taught.
2. Lack of Interest in Teaching
Some teachers are not serious about their work or profession; they may come late to class or even miss lessons. This normally happens in some public schools.
When a teacher is not interested, students will also lose interest in learning; this affects how students learn and perform in exams.
3. Not Giving Enough Attention to Students
Every student is different in their own way; some learn fast, while others are slow learners and need more help.
Some teachers do not pay enough attention to students who are slow or weak; they focus only on the smart students, and this makes the weaker students feel left out, and they may continue to fail.
4. Poor Explanation of Subjects or Topics
Some teachers do not take time to explain topics very well; they will just read from the book without explaining and making students understand the concept.
Students need simple explanations and real-world examples; without this, they may not understand the lesson, which will lead to failure.
5. Not Encouraging Students
Students need encouragement to do well; a good teacher will motivate and encourage their students to try harder.
But some teachers discourage students; they may insult or shout at them. This can make students lose confidence and stop trying or learning.
6. Lack of Proper Testing and Feedback
Tests and assignments help students know how well they are doing in school, but some teachers do not give enough tests or assignments.
Even when they give tests, they may not correct them or give them feedback on time or explain the mistakes they made; this makes it hard for students to improve.
7. Poor Relationship with Students
A good relationship between teacher and student is very important; when students feel free with their teacher, they can ask questions.
But some teachers are too harsh on some slow students; the students may be afraid to talk or ask for help, which can affect their learning.
8. Not Being a Good Example
Teachers are role models to students; what students learn from is what they see from their teachers.
If a teacher is not serious, not honest, or not hardworking, students may behave the same way; this can lead to poor performance and failure.
